The MCXtrema is not road-legal, so it cannot be registered with a Hong Kong licence plate. Owners would need to rent a circuit (such as Zhuhai International Circuit) to drive it. Furthermore, consumables are extremely expensive: a set of tyres costs around £3,000 (approx. HK$30,000), and on a high-speed circuit, fuel consumption is 3 litres per minute. The body is full carbon fibre, so repair costs would be astronomical if damaged.
