It is better suited to users with a fixed charging facility. Its 8.3kWh battery provides 46km of WLTC electric range and takes about 2.5 hours to charge at the stated 3.3kW rate, so regular overnight or workplace charging can cover many short daily trips on electric power. It can still operate as a plug-in hybrid without a private charger, but relying mainly on the 1.5-litre engine means the electric-range benefit is harder to use consistently.
