WLTC uses more varied and demanding driving conditions, so its result is generally closer to everyday use; NEDC is an older, gentler cycle and usually gives a higher figure. Neither number guarantees the exact distance on the road, as traffic, speed, air-conditioning use, temperature and driving style can all affect the actual EV range.
