It uses an all-new 'McLaren Aerocell' carbon fibre monocoque, which manages to be incredibly light despite being longer than the P1. The chassis is dictated entirely by aerodynamics, featuring raised floors to create ground effect tunnels, a design rarely seen on a road-legal car.
