To handle environments with high pedestrian density, the Mercedes-Benz GLA Series comes standard with Active Brake Assist. If the sensors detect a pedestrian suddenly crossing the path and the driver fails to react in time, the system will automatically intervene and apply braking force to minimize the risk of a collision.
